Operating weight controls the category.
Below 250 g
Transport Canada defines a microdrone as a drone with an operating weight under 250 g. A microdrone does not require registration or a pilot certificate, but it must still be flown safely and legally. The remote controller’s weight does not count; anything attached to or carried by the aircraft does.
At 250 g or more
Transport Canada requires drones weighing at least 250 g to be registered and marked. The pilot must hold the certificate appropriate to the planned operation. Under Basic operations, the pilot must be able to show a Basic certificate and proof of registration.
Why the standard-battery route still needs a scale
SpeedyDrone’s current product information lists the Mini 5 Pro at approximately 249.9 g with a possible variation of ±4 g. That is too close to the threshold for a blanket assumption. Weigh the aircraft in its actual flight configuration and follow the rules for the measured operating weight.
Why Battery Plus is a category decision
The Battery Plus route moves the configured aircraft above the microdrone threshold. Treat the extra endurance and the registration/certification plan as one purchase decision, not two separate issues.

RC-N3 Fly More
Buy this when RC-N3 has a job: backup control, a second operator setup, or a phone-based workflow you actually prefer. It is not automatically the best value for someone who already owns RC 2.
RC 2 Fly More, controller removed
This is the clearest general answer for an existing compatible RC 2 owner who wants three standard batteries, the charging hub, ND filters, shoulder bag and other listed Fly More items without paying for a second screen controller.
RC 2 Fly More Plus, controller removed
