AGIBOT
Expandable Quadruped Development Robot
AGIBOT D1 Edu combines a 12-degree-of-freedom quadruped platform with SDK-supported secondary development, standardized expansion I/O and simulation resources for robotics research, teaching and integration.
What is AGIBOT D1 Edu?
D1 Edu is designed for universities, laboratories, robotics teams and integrators that need a compact quadruped platform for motion-control study, external payload integration and application prototyping.
Its SDK and expansion interfaces create a development starting point; they do not make autonomous navigation, following or inspection available out of the box. Those outcomes require compatible external hardware, software development, testing and a project-specific safety plan.
Manufacturer-published mobility values
Reinforcement-learning gait control supports stable movement over varied ground surfaces. Published peak values are laboratory results, not guarantees for every surface, payload or programmed action.
Manufacturer laboratory value; safe operating speed depends on the tested environment.
Current listed continuous stair-climbing height under manufacturer test conditions.
Listed height off the ground under laboratory conditions and controlled operation.
SDK-supported development
AGIBOT lists secondary development support and standardized interfaces for payload integration. Development access remains subject to the supplied SDK, documentation, licensing and project configuration.
Supported according to the official quadruped robot FAQ; confirm the current software package and version.
Manufacturer-listed model resource for development and simulation workflows.
Listed as a supported environment for simulation and testing.
Listed as another supported simulation and testing environment.
Functional expansion I/O
The D1 Edu-specific specification lists the following physical expansion ports. Port use, power budget, simultaneous operation and module compatibility must be confirmed for the intended integration.
Integration boundary: AGIBOT lists compatibility with external positioning modules, LiDAR, depth cameras, RTK, 4G/5G and image-transmission modules. These are integration examples, not a claim that the modules are built in or included with the standard robot.
Development planning
The robot platform, external computing, optional sensing and software stack must be planned as one system.
The official FAQ states that development use requires an external control box. The built-in compute is not represented as open user-development compute.
Confirm the exact sensor model, interface, power requirement, mounting, software support and whether integration service is quoted.
Confirm SDK access, ROS 2 package, documentation, examples, licensing, supported development environment and update policy in writing.
Control-layer boundary: SDK support does not mean that the motor and control-layer drive protocol is publicly open. Autonomous following is also not a standard function; the manufacturer states that it requires secondary development.
Project directions
Official application examples include scientific research, education and entertainment. Final capability depends on the developed software, integrated hardware and controlled operating environment.
Explore gait control, robotics coursework, simulation transfer, sensor integration and supervised application prototyping.
Prototype choreographed or character-based concepts with project-specific software, accessories, supervision and safety controls.
Joint and motion system
D1 Edu uses 12 aluminum-alloy precision joint motors and high-power-density motion units. Torque and power figures below are manufacturer-listed maximum values, not continuous output guarantees.
Official product imagery
Official views show the front camera, compact body, articulated legs and yellow high-grip feet.
Verified D1 Edu configuration
Values below are limited to the current D1 Edu-specific official product table and official quadruped FAQ. Conflicting slope figures are intentionally withheld pending written confirmation.
