IMPORTANT OPERATING NOTE
Additional light does not remove night-operation limits
The spotlight supports low-light visibility, but vision-system performance, flight safety, and regulatory compliance still depend on the aircraft, environment, installation, and operator.
- DJI states that Active Obstacle Bypassing and Terrain Follow require moderate light, rich environmental texture, and clean, unobstructed binocular vision sensors.
- When flying at night or in dark areas, the aircraft uses radar-measured data for terrain following. Fly with caution and follow the aircraft manual.
- This accessory does not guarantee obstacle detection, obstacle bypassing, terrain following, or safe operation in darkness.
- In Canada, do not assume this task spotlight alone satisfies every aircraft visibility, airspace, certification, or operational requirement for night flight.

Can I control the spotlight from DJI Agras?
Yes. DJI's installation tutorial shows Auto, Off, and On options under the Spotlight setting in DJI Agras.
Does installing the spotlight make night operations automatically legal in Canada?
No. It is an illumination accessory, not an operational authorization or a substitute for the pilot's obligations. The operator remains responsible for applicable Transport Canada requirements, airspace rules, aircraft operating limitations, and DJI instructions.
Does the spotlight guarantee obstacle avoidance at night?
No. Lighting conditions, scene texture, sensor cleanliness, and other environmental factors affect binocular vision. DJI instructs operators to fly with caution in nighttime and dark-area conditions.
How should it be installed?
