The operating architecture
DJI Dock 4, Matrice 5TD, the O4 Ground Station and DJI FlightHub 2 have different roles. Plan the aircraft, dock, batteries, connectivity and software together before ordering.
Automated docking & battery swapping
A fixed-site platform for Matrice 5TD operations, with wireless charging, environmental monitoring and automatic battery swapping.
Dock package only. Aircraft and O4 Ground Station are supplied separately.

An aircraft for Dock 4 workflows, combining visible-light imaging, thermal imaging, laser ranging and multiple sensing systems.

Matrice 5TD brings multiple sensors into one aircraft. Dock 4 prepares it for repeated missions through automatic battery swapping and wireless charging.

Dock battery swap in controlled testing
Flight time is a windless, no-payload laboratory result at 15 m/s from full charge to 0%. The swap figure runs from full cover closure to swap completion; it is not landing-to-launch time. Payload, environment, configuration and firmware affect results. See DJI specifications and test conditions.
Configuration comes first
Both North American SP Plus combos include the O4 Ground Station. The AP1 version adds a pre-installed parachute. Specify the selected SKU when requesting a quote.

Dock 4 is sold separately. A handheld remote controller is not included. Confirm battery quantity, mounts, payloads and software scope in the quotation. Matrice 5TD is designed for Dock-operated workflows; DJI states that manual flight with a remote controller is not supported. Read the DJI aircraft FAQ.
Build around the work
Choose illumination, broadcast, parachute and replacement equipment by the actual task. Include mounts and accessories in payload and endurance calculations.
Optional accessories affect endurance and sensing. The 450 g maximum payload is not additional to the 3050 g maximum takeoff weight. When the spotlight is on, visual obstacle sensing is disabled; mmWave radar and LiDAR remain active, subject to their operating conditions. Review DJI compatibility guidance.
From equipment to a working site
Use the mission, location and operating schedule to define the complete system. DJI requires authorized technicians for installation and configuration; confirm the actual service scope for your project.
Survey the device locations, clearances, interference and alternate landing area. Regional coverage and satellite positioning affect supported deployment methods.
Confirm stable power, earthing, lightning protection and the tested network connection at the ground-station location.
Specify mission cadence, battery rotation, maintenance access and the required FlightHub 2 deployment and features.
Vehicle-mounted deployment is described by DJI as a future feature expected in the first half of 2027, subject to firmware updates. Takeoff and landing while a vehicle is moving are not supported. Do not assume a regional demonstration establishes eligibility for a Canadian site.
Equipment-specific service
Eligible new Dock 4 and Matrice 5TD devices receive one year of DJI Care Enterprise Plus with first activation and binding. Check existing coverage before purchasing a separate plan.

No. The DOCK4-CB listing is the dock package. Matrice 5TD aircraft combos are supplied separately. Both listed aircraft combos include the O4 Ground Station.
Dock 4 operates with Matrice 5TD. DJI support for Matrice 4 Series or Matrice 4D Series during a site survey does not make those aircraft compatible with Dock 4 operations.
Choose between MAT5TD-O4-CB and MAT5TD-O4-AP1-CB based on the requirement for a pre-installed AP1 parachute. Both include O4. Review battery quantity, mounts, payloads and software scope in the quotation.
DJI states that Matrice 5TD does not support manual flight using a remote controller. It is built for Dock-operated workflows. Confirm that this operating model fits the project before purchase.
