Automatic battery swapping for repeated missions
DJI specifies a 25-second battery swap, measured from full cover closure to completion of the swap in controlled conditions. Battery swapping and wireless charging help prepare the aircraft for its next task. The dock has four battery compartments, with a maximum of three occupied at once so the swapping mechanism can operate correctly.
Designed for fixed outdoor deployment
The dock is rated IP56 and has a specified operating temperature range of -40°C to 50°C. Compressor-based air conditioning and battery preheating support operation across changing conditions. It accommodates one aircraft and has a maximum allowable landing wind speed of 12 m/s.
Plan the complete system
DJI Dock 4 must be used with the DJI O4 Ground Station. The ground station is included with the Matrice 5TD combos listed separately; it is not listed in this Dock 4 package. The aircraft, required flight batteries, site preparation, connectivity, and software configuration should be confirmed when planning a deployment. A handheld remote controller is not included.
Remote workflows
DJI FlightHub 2 supports remote cockpit operation, route tasks, live streams, and workflow integration. Cloud and on-premises options have different capabilities and licensing requirements. Vehicle-mounted deployment is described by DJI as a future feature expected in the first half of 2027, subject to firmware updates; takeoff and landing while a vehicle is moving are not supported.

Is DJI Dock 4 right for your site?
For Canadian buyers, this North American DOCK4-CB listing is the dock package. The aircraft and O4 Ground Station are supplied separately. Our guidance below applies DJI's published requirements to the purchasing decisions involved in a complete fixed-site deployment.
Match the aircraft first
Dock 4 operates with Matrice 5TD only. DJI's support for Matrice 4 Series and Matrice 4D Series during site surveys does not make those aircraft compatible with Dock 4 operations. Check the Matrice 5TD aircraft configurations before planning an upgrade.
Budget the complete system
Compare the dock, aircraft combo, flight batteries, installation work, connectivity and software scope together. Both listed Matrice 5TD combos include the O4 Ground Station; avoid budgeting for a second station unless the deployment design calls for it.
Define the mission before ordering
A recurring inspection route and an occasional response mission can require different battery rotation, network and software arrangements. Include your site location, operating hours, expected mission cadence and IT requirements in the configuration request so the equipment list can be checked against the intended work.

Fixed-site deployment: what to confirm first
Use these checks to prepare a project brief before selecting installation materials or promising a mission schedule. DJI requires authorized technicians for installation and configuration; the current installation manual remains the detailed reference.

Is the O4 Ground Station included with Dock 4?
The O4 Ground Station is required for Dock 4 operation but is not listed in this dock package. It is included with the separately listed Matrice 5TD combos.
Does this package include an aircraft or handheld controller?
The listed Dock 4 package does not include an aircraft or handheld remote controller. Confirm the complete deployment configuration and flight-battery quantity when ordering.
Which aircraft can operate from DJI Dock 4?
Only DJI Matrice 5TD. Matrice 4 Series and Matrice 4D Series are listed for site surveying, which is a separate role. See the official compatibility FAQ.
Does a 25-second swap mean the next flight starts 25 seconds after landing?
No. The swap figure starts after full cover closure. DJI separately lists operational turnaround below 45 seconds in controlled testing. Confirm real mission intervals during commissioning. See the charging-performance specifications.
How many flight batteries should I order?
The dock has four compartments but allows no more than three occupied at once. Order quantities should follow the aircraft, planned mission cadence and reserve strategy; ask SpeedyDrone to confirm the complete battery list. See DJI battery-compartment specifications.
Can backup power charge the aircraft?
