Advanced Drone Pilot License with Flight Training
Advanced Drone Pilot License — Complete Program with Flight Training
The complete pathway to the Transport Canada Pilot Certificate – Advanced Operations. This program combines our flagship online Drone Ground School, in-person flight training, and your final Flight Review — and a training drone is provided for both in-person sessions.
Who This Is For
Flying a drone of 250 grams or more in Canada requires a Transport Canada pilot certificate, and advanced operations require the Advanced certificate. This program is for pilots who want to complete both steps — the written exam and the in-person flight review — in one structured program, whether you are starting your drone journey or formalizing experience you already have.
What Is Included
Online Drone Ground School
20 hours of structured online learning that prepares you for the Transport Canada Advanced written exam, covering air law, airspace management, navigation, meteorology, flight planning, theory of flight, human factors and radio communications. Learn at your own pace with multimedia material, then join live webinars to ask questions and learn alongside other students.
In-Person Flight Training
3 hours of hands-on flight training with experienced instructors at AlteX droneHUB — real-world practice in a controlled environment before your review.
Flight Review
The final 1-hour in-person flight review, the last step toward your Advanced Pilot Certificate.
Training Drone Provided
A training drone is provided for both the flight training and the flight review — free drone rental is included with this program.
