The 9–12 minute charge time is not a universal guarantee. Battery model, starting state of charge, battery-cell temperature, charging-station altitude, charging connection and simultaneous AC use can change the result. Working AC loads reduce the power available for battery charging and extend the charging time.

Setup & Safety

Prepare the generator before the first field operation

  1. Add engine oil before starting DJI states that the engine is not filled with oil before leaving the factory. Add the specified SJ 10W-40 oil to the correct level.
  2. Activate through DJI Agras First-use activation requires an internet-connected compatible remote controller, the DJI Agras app and a suitable USB-C connection.
  3. Operate outdoors only Use in an open, well-ventilated outdoor area. Exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide; never operate indoors or in a confined space.
  4. Level, separate and ground Place the generator on a flat, stable surface at least 1.5 m from buildings or equipment and ground it according to applicable electrical codes.
  5. Connect the battery correctly Power the compatible battery off before connecting it. The generator charges one Intelligent Flight Battery at a time.
  6. Refuel only after shutdown and cooling Keep gasoline away from flames, sparks and smoking. Stop the generator and allow hot components to cool before refuelling.

Never use the generator in rain, humid conditions or an enclosed space

DJI also prohibits connecting the generator to utility mains or to another generator. Keep the exhaust and muffler area clear of flammable material, prevent access by children and animals, and follow the complete current User Guide and Canadian electrical, fire, environmental and fuel-safety requirements.
