D-RTK 3 AG is not the Multifunctional Station

DJI's official product designation is D-RTK 3 AG. It is a complete agricultural GNSS station and supports Broadcast Mode only. Relay Station Mode and Rover Station Mode belong to the D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station and are not available on D-RTK 3 AG.

D-RTK 3 AG provides multiple ways to establish the station's position before broadcasting correction data to a supported DJI Agras aircraft.

PPP

Intended for locations without a Network RTK service. On first setup, use PPP positioning and save the station coordinates for future use at the same location.

Network RTK

Network RTK or Custom Network RTK can be used where a compatible service is available. Service access, credentials, coverage, and fees are separate from this hardware.

Custom Coordinates

When returning to a location with saved coordinates, place the station at the known point and select the corresponding saved coordinate for positioning.

DJI publishes these as RMS values for PPP satellite-based positioning. PPP is useful where Network RTK service is unavailable.

Network RTK calibration accuracy

0.8 cm + 1 ppm horizontal 1.5 cm + 1 ppm vertical

DJI publishes these as RMS values. One ppm means an additional 1 mm of error for each 1 km between the aircraft and base station.

These are DJI-published positioning or calibration values—not guaranteed aircraft, spraying, spreading, mapping, or survey accuracy. Equipment tilt, blocked signals, multipath, satellite count and geometry, atmospheric conditions, RTK-source accuracy, and setup quality affect the result.

Compatibility

Aircraft, app, and firmware must all support D-RTK 3

Compatibility is model-, region-, and firmware-dependent. Update the aircraft, remote controller, DJI Agras app, and station as directed by DJI before use.

Deployment Requirements

Correct site selection is part of RTK performance

  1. Use an open sky view Avoid trees and buildings within the area extending more than 15° above the antenna's horizontal plane.
  2. Reduce radio interference DJI specifies at least 200 m from high-power radio transmitters and at least 50 m from high-voltage transmission lines.
  3. Avoid multipath locations Keep away from large bodies of water and objects that strongly reflect or interfere with satellite reception.
  4. Level and secure the station Use the separately sold survey-pole and tripod kit. If the station or tripod is moved or its angle changes, set it up again.
  5. Activate before first use Charge the internal battery, connect through DJI Agras, and keep the remote controller online during activation.
  6. Protect ports and antennas Keep port covers secured, prevent foreign material from entering, and do not obstruct the antennas while operating.

Do not deploy by range alone

The published link distance does not replace a clear RF path, proper GNSS sky view, legal frequency use, or accurate station calibration. Stop and reassess the installation if conditions do not meet DJI's current manual.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before you order

Is D-RTK 3 AG the same as the D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station?

No. D-RTK 3 AG is the agricultural edition and supports Broadcast Mode only. The Multifunctional Station additionally supports Relay Station Mode and Rover Station Mode.

Does D-RTK 3 AG extend video-transmission range as a relay?

No. DJI explicitly lists Relay Mode as unsupported for D-RTK 3 AG. Do not confuse the station's RTK broadcast range with a video relay.

Which DJI Agras aircraft are compatible?

DJI directly publishes D-RTK 3 AG for T55, T100, T70P, and T25P. DJI's August 27, 2025 T50/T25 release notes added D-RTK 3 support, but that statement does not identify the D-RTK 3 version. Confirm the applicable station version, exact regional aircraft, remote controller, app, and firmware before purchase.

Does the 15 km FCC figure apply automatically in Canada?

No unconditional Canadian range is stated here. DJI publishes 15 km for FCC, 12 km for SRRC, and 8 km for CE/JP. The permitted band, regional configuration, obstruction, interference, antenna placement, and deployment conditions determine actual range.

Does it provide guaranteed centimetre-level aircraft accuracy?

No. DJI publishes Network RTK calibration values of 0.8 cm + 1 ppm horizontal and 1.5 cm + 1 ppm vertical, but real results depend on the RTK source, setup, environment, satellites, multipath, atmospheric conditions, aircraft, and mission.

Can it be positioned without Network RTK service?

Yes. DJI provides a PPP positioning workflow for locations without Network RTK. DJI publishes a 20-minute convergence time and PPP RMS values of 30 cm horizontal and 40 cm elevation. Saved custom coordinates can be used when returning to the same known location.

Are the survey pole and tripod included?

DJI's D-RTK 3 AG User Manual identifies the Survey Pole and Tripod Kit as sold separately. Contact SpeedyDrone to confirm the exact Canadian package and add the deployment kit if required.

Can the station be moved after it has been levelled?

Do not move the tripod or change the station's angle after levelling. If either changes, the station must be set up again according to DJI's instructions.

What charger should be used?

DJI specifies a USB PD 3.0 charger with 9–15 V output and lists the DJI 65W Portable Charger as an example. A charger is not represented as included in this listing.
