DJI Air 3S Chase the View Bundle: Everything You Need for Your Next Aerial Adventure?

The view is only one part of a filming trip. You also need to get the drone there, prepare it at each stop and bring the footage home.

The DJI Air 3S Chase the View Bundle builds on the Fly More Combo with DJI RC 2, adding six travel accessories and a listed Mini 2 SE gift. Its strongest case is for road trips with several planned filming stops. Whether it is better than Fly More alone depends on which of those extras you will actually use—and what you still need to pack.

Bundle contents, listed CAD prices, DJI features and Canadian operating guidance checked October 24, 2026. Offers and requirements can change.

The travelling filmmaker

Built for the Scenic Route

A good landscape sequence usually needs more than an attractive aerial view. An establishing shot gives the location context; a tighter frame draws attention to a ridge, a bend in a river or the pattern of a field. Air 3S pairs a 24mm-equivalent primary camera with a 70mm-equivalent medium tele camera, offering two useful ways to frame a scene from an appropriate flying position.

This bundle is aimed at the creator who has already decided that Air 3S belongs in the car. Perhaps you plan to stop at an open rural location in the morning, film another landscape later and keep one battery for the evening light. The practical question is how easily you can unpack, make a fresh site assessment, film and move on.

The extra equipment makes most sense when your route involves frequent packing and unpacking, bright outdoor viewing and a deliberate footage routine. If your trips usually involve one short flight from an easy-access location, the original Fly More package may cover most of your needs.

What's Already in Fly More?

Chase the View uses the DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo with DJI RC 2. The controller, three flight batteries, charging hub, shoulder bag and ND filters already belong to that factory package. They are not separate SpeedyDrone additions.

What's inside the bundle?

A component layout assembled from product photos, not a single photographed flat lay. Quantities follow the current included-items list; installation views do not add extra controllers. Items are not shown to scale.

Three batteries help you plan stops, not continuous flight

Three batteries let you reserve a fresh pack for another location. They do not establish a guaranteed day's flying time. Wind, manoeuvres and the reserve needed to return and land all affect how much filming you can safely complete.

The hub charges batteries in sequence. DJI lists approximately 60 minutes per battery with its 100W USB-C Power Adapter. That is not a promise to recharge all three during a one-hour lunch. Battery condition, starting charge and the power source matter.

Pack a power source. A wall charger and car charger are not listed in this bundle. The hub and PD cable do not replace one. Choose a suitable charger following DJI's guidance, charge before departure and let warm batteries cool as instructed. DJI specifies a 5–40°C charging range; a closed case or hot parked car is a poor charging station.

The ND filters are another existing Fly More benefit. They reduce incoming light when you want more control over shutter speed in bright conditions. Choose the filter to suit the light and exposure, rather than leaving the strongest one fitted for every stop.

The six additions, in use

Why We Added Travel Essentials

The additions address different parts of the day. Their value depends on your current equipment and how you travel; owning more accessories does not automatically improve a shot.

A hard case for the journey; a shoulder bag for the walk

The AEROVAULT Air 3S hard case provides a dedicated place to organise the main kit between destinations. The original DJI shoulder bag offers a different carrying option when you leave the car for a short walk. Decide which one to take to the launch area instead of carrying both by default.

Do a complete packing rehearsal at home. Check whether your chosen arrangement accommodates the hood, guards and cables without pressure on controls or propellers. Do not assume every accessory fits inside the case while installed, or that a protective case makes the aircraft weatherproof.

Give everything a place before the first stop.

A packing rehearsal is more useful than discovering an awkward fit beside the road. Check access to the aircraft, fresh batteries and controller, then keep used batteries identifiable.

A landing surface you can assess

The BRDRC 50cm folding landing pad gives you a defined take-off and landing surface. It can be useful when the available ground is unevenly coloured, dusty or difficult to distinguish on camera. Secure it as instructed and check that its surface is level, stable and clear of loose material.

A pad does not turn an unsuitable site into a suitable one. Avoid traffic, people, obstructions and restricted locations; choose another launch point if there is not enough room. Air 3S is not waterproof, so a lakeside view is not a reason to ignore rain or spray.

A controller you can see and protect

DJI RC 2 already gives you a dedicated display with DJI Fly installed. The added sun hood helps shade that display, while the screen protector adds a surface layer over it. Those are separate functions: neither promises perfect visibility in every sun angle or makes the controller impact-proof.

Install and check the accessories before travelling. Make sure the hood and any fittings leave the controls, antennas and storage arrangement usable. Complete first-time activation and updates with an internet connection at home, rather than relying on reception at the first viewpoint.

Included Lexar Professional SILVER PLUS 128GB microSD card
Footage access: a removable card is useful for transfer, but it is not a second copy.

Storage for footage; a plan for keeping it

The included Lexar Professional SILVER PLUS 128GB microSD card adds removable storage alongside Air 3S's 42GB internal storage. Check free space and recording settings before leaving. Neither capacity tells you a fixed number of recording hours across every format.

At the end of the day, copy the originals to your chosen computer or backup drive, check that the files open and retain another copy before erasing the card. A card reader, computer and backup drive are not listed in the bundle. Give each stop its own folder so tomorrow's edit starts with a clear sequence.

Propeller guards: use them deliberately

The BRDRC Air 3S propeller guard set adds a physical barrier around the propellers when correctly fitted and operated. Follow the accessory instructions and check the aircraft's behaviour and clearance requirements. Their inclusion does not mean they must remain installed for every landscape flight, or that you may fly close to people.

A planning example

One Road Trip, Multiple Locations

Imagine a day with three filming stops that you have independently checked for lawful access, suitable airspace and safe operating conditions. This is a hypothetical itinerary, not a report of a SpeedyDrone trip. Each stop has one clear visual purpose; none depends on flying from a moving vehicle.

In Canada, the 724g Air 3S needs registration and marking, and the pilot must meet the certificate and operating requirements for the intended flight. Use Transport Canada's current guidance and NAV Drone for planning and applicable airspace authorizations. Separately check the land manager's rules and launch permission. A quiet shoreline, trail or roadside pull-off is not automatically an approved drone site.

01Morning
The establishing view

Open the story with the landscape.

At a prechecked open location, park safely and inspect the site again. Unpack the aircraft, check the pad and prepare a short wide-camera establishing shot. Keep the flight simple enough to assess the conditions and return with a sensible reserve.

Before moving on: stop recording, power down, check that the clip exists and separate the used battery from fresh packs. Fit the gimbal protector for transport.

02Midday
A tighter detail

Give the location a second scale.

At the next independently suitable location, use a fresh pack and consider a medium-tele composition of a distant landform or repeating pattern. Check the light before selecting an ND filter. Position the controller and hood for visibility without losing awareness of the aircraft and surroundings.

Before moving on: review exposure and remaining storage. Treat any lunch-time charging as a bonus only if a suitable power source and safe charging conditions are available.

03Evening
The closing shot

Save a battery, not an obligation to fly.

Keep a fresh battery for a final location with permission and a clear return route. Recheck weather, light, people and visibility; if the conditions no longer suit the flight, finish with ground footage. An unused battery is a better outcome than forcing the last shot.

Back at base: copy and verify the originals. Sort by stop, note the shots worth keeping and prepare the kit for the next day before formatting anything.

Designed for this guide. The sequence illustrates task planning, not guaranteed flight endurance, charging performance or permission at any real location.

What About the Mini 2 SE Gift?

As checked October 24, 2026, the exact Chase the View listing states that one DJI Mini 2 SE is included at no additional charge. It is part of this store offer, separate from DJI's Air 3S Fly More package. Assess its usefulness separately from the six paid travel accessories; the current offer does not establish an independent gift-value saving.

An included aircraft is not enough information to promise a complete second kit. The current gift description does not itemise its controller, batteries, charger or other box contents.

Source: SpeedyDrone gallery — DJI promotional aircraft image. Photograph shows the aircraft only.

DJI's Mini 2 SE compatibility information lists the DJI RC-N1 remote controller. The Air 3S bundle's DJI RC 2 should not be treated as a shared controller for the gift. Confirm the exact gift packaging and anything else needed to operate it before deciding how useful it will be to you.

If the confirmed package suits your needs, it may have value as a separate lightweight aircraft for another user or a different outing. It does not expand Air 3S battery capacity, replace a backup plan or make the Air 3S itself easier to carry. Buy the main kit for the work you intend to do with it; treat the gift as a separately assessed benefit.

Make the value personal

Is This Better Than Fly More Alone?

Choose the bundle when the travel additions match genuine gaps in your kit. A hard case, pad, card and controller accessories are easier to justify when you regularly move between locations and do not already own suitable equivalents. Fly More alone can be the cleaner choice when your storage, protection and charging workflow is already established.

Chase the View BundleCAD $2,581.95Current listed bundle price.
Original Fly More RC 2CAD $2,059.00Matched standalone listing; unavailable when checked.

The listed-price gap is CAD $522.95. This is a comparison of listed prices, not a savings claim or a guarantee that both options can be purchased now. Check current availability and checkout totals. Judge that gap against the six accessories you need and the gift package once confirmed; do not assume the extras would all be essential purchases for you.

Before ordering, run through one departure checklist:

  • Power: suitable charger, charged flight packs and controller, and a realistic replenishment plan.
  • Protection: a packing arrangement that closes without pressure on the equipment.
  • Flight preparation: registration, the appropriate pilot credentials, site access and current airspace checks.
  • Footage: free card space, a transfer method and somewhere to keep verified copies.
  • Gift: written confirmation of exactly what the Mini 2 SE package contains.

The bundle can bring useful travel pieces together. The final part of the kit is still your plan for where to fly, how to power the day and how to keep the footage.

Pack for the route you actually take.

Review the current Chase the View configuration and confirm the gift package details before choosing your travel kit.
