A two-drone bundle is worth considering when the second aircraft has a job you will actually use: Neo 2 for person-centred clips with a lighter control routine, and Avata 360 for planned aerial sequences with a choice of viewpoints after capture.
If your goal is simply “better aerial video,” start with one drone. Avata 360 already offers both panoramic and Single Lens shooting, so buying Neo 2 solely to add conventional video can duplicate a capability you have. The stronger reason to pair them is a different way of making the shot, rather than another camera in the bag.
The DJI Avata 360 + Neo 2 Family Flight Club Bundle brings that pairing together with extra Neo 2 batteries and aircraft-specific carrying and protection accessories. The important purchase decision is which Avata control package you want—and which Neo 2 control equipment is still outside the listed bundle.

Two Drones, Two Creative Roles
Give Neo 2 the moments where the person is the subject: a short introduction at the start of an outing, a composed view of a traveller in an open space, or a brief follow sequence where the route and surroundings are suitable. DJI supports palm and mobile-app control, allowing these shots without setting up a conventional remote-controller package. That is a different working routine from planning every shot around Avata 360.

Give Avata 360 the sequence that introduces the setting or changes the film’s visual perspective. In 360° mode, it records the surrounding view so you can choose a viewing direction during editing. You might favour the traveller first, then the wider environment, provided the recorded flight position and material support both compositions.
Reframing cannot move the aircraft to a different location after the flight. It changes what you show from the recorded position. Likewise, an 8K panoramic recording does not make every extracted flat frame an 8K image: the selected view uses part of that surrounding picture. Build the purchase case around useful compositions, not the largest resolution label.
The division is a production choice, not an exclusive feature boundary. Neo 2 can also record the environment, and Avata 360 can include a person. The pair earns its place when the different control routines help you make two deliberately different sequences. Neither aircraft replaces a handheld camera for grounded dialogue and dependable location sound.
Why Not Just Buy One Drone?
One aircraft is easier to carry, learn, charge and maintain. It also gives you more time to practise consistent framing instead of dividing a limited weekend between two systems. A more expensive single drone may be the better choice if its specific camera or flight capabilities solve your main problem; price alone does not make it a substitute for Neo 2’s simpler person-centred routine.
Start with Avata 360 when the aerial sequence is the priority
If you primarily want panoramic footage, later reframing and the option of flat FPV-style video, Avata 360 alone may cover the brief. Its Single Lens mode already records conventional video up to 4K/60fps. Learn that workflow before treating another drone as essential. Our Avata 360 shooting-mode guide explains the distinction in more depth.
Start with Neo 2 when the person is the priority
If your usual output is a short personal clip and you do not want to reframe panoramic masters, Neo 2 on its own can be the more focused starting point. Practise suitable palm or app-controlled shots, then decide whether a surrounding panoramic capture would improve a real project. You do not need to buy a second aircraft simply because you might try 360° editing someday.
Buy the pair when the second routine will be used
Write down one Neo 2 shot and one Avata 360 sequence for your next three outings. If the Avata entries only repeat the Neo framing, or the Neo entries never make the edit, the second aircraft is adding ownership rather than useful footage. If both roles recur, the bundle becomes a practical equipment choice instead of an aspirational collection.
Two drones also mean two battery systems and separate aircraft checks, firmware, charging and storage. The batteries are not interchangeable. Plan those tasks alongside editing time; extra packs do not make the two systems operate as one.
Family Flight Club: What’s Included?
This is a SpeedyDrone curated package built around one selected Avata 360 factory combo and a Neo 2 Drone Only package. “Fly More” in the Neo 2 soft-case name describes the case model. It does not turn the included Neo 2 into a Neo 2 Fly More Combo.

| Component | What the listing includes | Buying implication |
|---|---|---|
| Avata 360 | One selected RC 2 Fly More or Motion Fly More Combo. Each named combo lists three Avata batteries and its Two-Way Charging Hub. | Select the control system first; the two versions are alternatives. |
| Neo 2 | One Drone Only package, plus two additional Neo 2 Intelligent Flight Batteries. | Extra batteries are useful spares; this is not a Neo 2 Fly More or Motion combo. |
| Carrying | One Avata 360 hard case and one AEROVAULT Neo 2 Fly More soft case. | Check how both cases fit your real travel load before valuing them as essentials. |
| Avata accessories | One landing gear accessory and one propeller guard. | Confirm installation and operating requirements; accessories do not remove flight risk. |
| Listed gift | One DJI Mini 2 SE at no additional charge. | The gift’s complete control/battery package is not specified here. Verify it before counting on another ready-to-fly system. |

Put a real cost beside the convenience
On 24 October 2026, both Family Flight Club versions were listed at C$1,926 before tax. For a transparent RC 2 baseline, the standalone Avata 360 RC 2 Fly More Combo was C$1,268.99 and Neo 2 Drone Only was C$308.99: C$1,577.98 together.
That puts the curated bundle C$348.02 above those two base purchases at the checked prices. The baseline excludes the added Neo batteries, cases, protection accessories and gift, so this is a way to assess the extras—not an equivalent-package savings claim. Decide which additions you would otherwise buy, and compare their current separate costs. Do not assign value to a gift you will not use or let a compare-at price make the decision for you.
A Neo 2 Digital Transceiver and Neo 2 charging hub are not listed among this bundle’s included extras. Confirm your intended charging arrangement and any remote-control add-ons before ordering. Extra batteries are only convenient if your charging plan fits the trip. Recheck the current listing and selected version at purchase time.
RC 2 or Motion Fly More?
Choose RC 2 if you want to fly Avata 360 with a screen controller. Choose Motion Fly More if the included goggles-and-motion experience is the reason you are buying. DJI lists both control approaches as compatible with Avata 360, but they do not unlock identical functions.
RC 2 version
Included: DJI RC 2. Goggles and RC Motion 3 are not part of this version.
DJI identifies QuickShots and ActiveTrack 360° in FocusTrack as standard-remote functions in 360° mode. This is the more direct choice when deliberate screen-based framing and these supported camera tools drive the purchase.
Motion version
Included: DJI Goggles N3 and DJI RC Motion 3. DJI RC 2 is not part of this version.
DJI assigns features such as head tracking to the goggles-and-motion setup. It suits the buyer who actually wants that interaction. It is not a promise of every standard-remote tracking function or a full Manual-mode racing experience.
Two limits matter: DJI says Avata 360 does not support using its goggles with RC 2, RC-N2 or RC-N3, and Avata 360 does not support Manual mode. Buying a compatible FPV Remote Controller 3 separately does not change that aircraft limitation. Avoid treating “FPV-style” as a guarantee of the controls you know from another FPV drone.
Can the included controls also fly Neo 2?
DJI lists RC 2 as compatible with Neo 2, and lists RC Motion 3 with Goggles 3 or N3 for Neo 2. However, Neo 2 needs its Digital Transceiver when used with a remote controller or goggles. The Family Flight Club listing does not list that module as included. The shared names therefore do not make this an out-of-the-box, two-aircraft remote-control or goggles package.
You can plan Neo 2’s suitable palm or mobile-app shots without that remote setup. If you want to reuse the included RC 2 or Motion equipment with Neo 2, confirm the transceiver, supported firmware and correct linking/setup for each aircraft. Treat this as sequential reuse, not simultaneous control of both drones. DJI’s Neo 2 FAQ is the reference for these requirements.
Shooting mode matters too. Avata 360’s panoramic features belong to 360° mode; Single Lens is a flat-video workflow. DJI also changes the obstacle-sensing coverage between those modes. Review the official Avata 360 feature matrix rather than carrying one mode’s features into every flight.
A Two-Drone Weekend Shoot
Imagine a 45-second film about a traveller’s morning at an open, permitted location. The person is introduced with Neo 2, while Avata 360 establishes the wider setting. The aircraft fly separately; the finished edit joins the sequences. This hypothetical plan is an editorial example, not a SpeedyDrone customer film or a tested shooting result.
Check the location, weather, flight path and applicable Canadian requirements first. Follow Transport Canada’s current drone rules for your aircraft and operation, along with airspace and land-access restrictions. A goggles view does not by itself establish lawful visual observation. If a shot cannot be carried out appropriately, change the location or use a ground-based alternative.

00:00–00:12 · NEO 2
Meet the traveller
Plan a short, stable person-centred opening in a suitable clear area. Let the viewer understand who the film follows before the surroundings take over.

00:12–00:30 · AVATA 360
Give the place its moment
From a separately planned flight, select a panoramic view that explains the setting. A restrained reframe can shift attention from the person’s route to the surrounding terrain.

00:30–00:45 · NEO 2 → AVATA 360
Return, then resolve
Return briefly to the person, then finish on a wider Avata view if it supports the story. These are edit allocations, not uninterrupted shot or flight-time promises.
For the shoot itself, complete one aircraft’s capture, land and secure it, then prepare the other. Keep the person’s travel direction, light and position consistent enough that the edit feels connected. Do not try to operate two aircraft at once just because the final film cuts quickly between them.
Review the Neo clips and the panoramic material together before deciding which views to use. Keep the 360° master; choose reframing only where it guides attention, and check the resulting flat crop at the intended delivery size. Our Avata 360 editing guide covers the transfer, reframing and export steps.
If the film needs spoken storytelling, record it separately with an appropriate ground camera or audio setup. A two-drone bundle is still an aerial kit. It does not supply every part of a travel-film production.
Is the Bundle Worth Buying?
The strongest fit is a creator who already wants both routines: simpler person-centred Neo 2 sessions and deliberate Avata 360 panoramic sequences. The extra batteries and carrying accessories then support equipment you intend to use, rather than create reasons to own it. Choose RC 2 or Motion from your actual Avata control preference, then account for any Neo remote-control extras.
Buy one drone first if you are still learning what you like to film, mainly need one type of aerial shot, or want to minimise baggage and editing. Neo 2 alone is a focused option for its supported personal filming routines; Avata 360 alone is the more direct route to panoramic aerial footage. Neither choice becomes inadequate simply because a larger bundle exists.
Compare individual purchases if you already own some of the included equipment. The relevant number is your remaining spend for the exact useful kit, including anything missing. Cases, spare batteries and the Mini 2 SE gift should earn their place on that list. The package name and number of boxes are poor substitutes for a clear shooting plan.
Before buying, resolve three practical questions: Which Avata controller will you use? Will Neo 2 remain palm/app controlled or need a Digital Transceiver? Which listed extras would you buy anyway? When those answers line up with your next few projects, the two-drone bundle has a defensible purpose.
