DJI Osmo Pocket 4P in Classic Black and Pearl White is the same core camera platform. Choose the finish you prefer—not a colour you expect to produce better footage.
Pearl White changes the look of the camera and selected accessories, not the reason to buy Pocket 4P. The more consequential choice is still Standard Combo versus Vlog Combo. Compare those packages like for like, then check whether your preferred colour is available for your shooting date.

What's new about Pearl White?
DJI announced the global availability of Osmo Pocket 4P Pearl White on October 20, 2026. It is a new colourway of the dual-lens gimbal camera, not a new generation called “Pocket 4P White Pro”. A global announcement also does not establish that every Canadian package is ready to ship.
The distinction matters if a launch headline has made you wonder whether you bought the wrong version. An existing black Pocket 4P does not become a lower-tier camera because a lighter finish has arrived. For the camera itself, start with our Pocket 4P camera guide; this article isolates the colour decision.
Is camera performance identical?
There is no colour-specific camera upgrade identified in DJI's product information. Both finishes belong to the Pocket 4P platform, with its wide-angle and dedicated med-tele cameras, three-axis stabilisation and supported recording features. Compare the same lens, recording mode and firmware before attributing any difference to the body colour.

| Decision point | Classic Black | Pearl White |
|---|---|---|
| Camera platform | Pocket 4P dual-camera system | Same Pocket 4P platform |
| Recording limits | Depend on lens, mode and firmware | Not removed by choosing white |
| What changes | Dark exterior and kit palette | Pearlescent exterior; selected white accessories |
| Canadian colour premium | C$0 within the same combo at the October 21 price check | |
One useful guardrail: DJI specifies 10-bit D-Log 2 at 1× only. A white body does not extend that profile to the 60mm camera. Similarly, do not treat a newer firmware feature in one demonstration as proof that Pearl White has different hardware.
What about the finish?
DJI describes Pearl White as using mica-infused pearlescent pigments and multi-layer spray coating. Its appearance shifts subtly with lighting and viewing angle. That describes the surface effect—not a measured improvement in toughness.
A product render can help you choose the overall palette, but it cannot tell you how the finish will look under your desk light or in your own videos. If matching other equipment matters, compare the actual camera or ask for a current product photograph before ordering.
We have not established which finish scratches less, hides fingerprints better, resists yellowing longer or runs cooler. Choose based on appearance unless a relevant, controlled test supplies evidence for another claim.
Are the included accessories different?
Compare Standard with Standard, and Vlog with Vlog. Otherwise, a package difference can look like a colour difference. The Standard Combo includes the camera, USB-C PD cable, fill light, wrist strap, threaded handle and portable pouch; it does not include a wireless microphone or mini tripod.
SpeedyDrone's Pearl White Standard listing names a white fill light, strap, handle and pouch. Notice the black cable in the actual product image: “Pearl White Combo” does not mean every item in the box is white.

The Vlog Combo adds production accessories including Osmo FrameTap, a DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter kit, mini tripod and carrying bag. Pearl White coordinates selected parts of that kit, but FrameTap, cables and other pieces need not share the camera's finish. A matching appearance is not an extra recording capability.

Will existing Pocket 4P accessories fit?
Colour matching and compatibility are separate questions. DJI describes Pearl White as part of the existing Osmo accessory ecosystem, rather than requiring a white-only system. That is not permission to assume every Pocket 3, Pocket 4 or third-party accessory fits Pocket 4P.
Check the accessory's exact supported models, connector or mounting interface, and any lens or firmware restrictions. For a cage or filter, physical clearance matters; for a microphone, supported connection matters. A black compatible accessory does not become incompatible solely because the camera is white.
Black vs white: price and availability in Canada
On October 21, 2026, SpeedyDrone listed both Standard colours at C$859 and both Vlog colours at C$969. There was no listed colour premium. The C$110 difference was between combos—not between black and white. Confirm the current price and checkout total before purchase.
Ordering status was not identical: Pearl White Vlog showed Sold Out, while Pearl White Standard and both black combos displayed Add to cart. This is a dated page observation, not a guarantee of Toronto shelf stock, dispatch time or a future restock.
If you have a fixed departure or production date, confirm fulfilment for the exact listing before paying. Do not replace Standard with Vlog—or the reverse—solely because one colour has a different order status without checking what that changes in your kit.
Which colour should you buy?
Choose Classic Black
You prefer a darker camera and accessory palette, or want it to match an existing dark kit.
Choose Pearl White
You want the pearlescent appearance and selected light-coloured accessories, with no expectation of extra image quality.
For an existing black Pocket 4P owner, replacing a working camera solely for Pearl White is an aesthetic purchase, not a technical upgrade. For a new buyer, select the useful combo first, the preferred finish second, and a confirmed fulfilment arrangement before a time-sensitive shoot.
One more detail before ordering
Can I assume an accessory in a promotional image is included?
No. Use the written In the Box list for the exact colour and combo. Lifestyle photographs may show optional equipment; a retailer-added bundle is also different from the official Standard or Vlog package.
Pick the finish. Check the complete kit.
