DJI Pocket 3 & Pocket 4: Soft Bag vs Hard Case — Which Accessory Bundle Is Right for You?

Choose Everyday Story if you want adjustable bag organisation and a mini tripod for shots with you in the frame. Choose Frame & Go if you prefer a hard case with shaped storage and only need a simple desktop base.

For DJI Pocket 3 and Pocket 4 owners, both AEROVAULT accessory bundles are listed at C$186.99. They share the same listed filter kit and 128GB card. The useful decision is how you carry your camera and support it once you arrive—not which box contains more names.

Prices, bundle contents and cited compatibility information checked 26 October 2026. CAD prices before tax; confirm the selected version at checkout. These are accessory-only bundles: neither includes a Pocket camera. This guide compares documented contents and workflows, without claiming a hands-on packing or protection test.

Which Bundle Should You Buy?

Start with the support you already own. If a compatible tripod is missing from your routine, Everyday Story adds a useful way to leave the camera in one position. If you already have that support, Frame & Go may be the more relevant purchase because its main difference is the carrying case.

Carrying layout Soft bag with adjustable dividers Rigid shell with shaped cushioning
Included support Mini tripod; needs your compatible 1/4-inch threaded mount or handle Black silicone desktop base for a level, stable surface

Best starting point Flexible organisation and missing compact tripod support Shaped case storage and an existing tripod setup

On a small screen, swipe the table sideways or focus it and use the arrow keys.

Neither is automatically the better value at the same price. A tripod you will use each week can matter more than a shell you prefer; an unwanted second tripod can matter less than organised case storage. If you already own the filters, card and support you need, buying only a carrying bag or case may avoid more duplication than either complete accessory bundle.

Soft Bag vs Hard Case

The soft bag suits an owner who wants to rearrange compartments around a small changing kit. SpeedyDrone lists the AEROVAULT bag at 21 × 11 × 11cm, with adjustable dividers, dual zippers and a wrist strap. Those dimensions describe the listed bag; they do not establish the clear internal space available around a particular camera configuration.

Frame & Go uses a rigid shell and shaped cushioning. That layout makes more sense if you want defined positions for compatible equipment and are comfortable removing attachments that do not match the insert. An unused cut-out is not proof that your particular microphone, filter box or mounted camera will fit it.

A soft bag still separates and cushions equipment; its flexible structure does not mean it provides no protection. Equally, a hard exterior does not prove a specific drop rating, waterproof performance or safe closure around oversized attachments. No side-by-side impact, water or loaded-capacity test has been completed for this guide.

Choose the layout you can pack without pressure on the gimbal or lens. Keep loose hard items from pressing against the camera, and follow its model-specific storage instructions. DJI’s Pocket 3 FAQ, for example, advises avoiding pressure from hard objects and using its Protective Cover when carrying it in a larger bag.

Mini Tripod vs Silicone Base

A mini tripod attaches through a mounting interface. A silicone desktop base provides a place to rest a compatible camera on a suitable surface. That difference changes what you need before recording and what you should expect when you step away from the camera.

For a solo Vlog introduction

Suppose you want to record yourself introducing a location before returning to handheld footage. A compatible mini tripod provides an attached support for that fixed composition. Everyday Story is the more useful shortlist when you lack that support and want adjustable bag organisation as well.

Check the connection first. Everyday Story does not add a threaded handle or adapter. DJI explains that the Pocket 3 Handle With 1/4-inch Thread provides the tripod connection; inspect the handle or mount already in your kit instead of assuming the tripod screws into every bare Pocket body. Do not expect a compact tripod to provide the height or positioning options of a larger support system.

For a desk clip and a kit you already support

If you already have a tripod and mostly want a defined case layout, Frame & Go avoids adding another mini tripod. Its silicone base can serve simple placement on a level tabletop, such as a short desk introduction. It is not a substitute for a secured tripod connection, adjustable camera head or a mount for a moving vehicle.

Neither accessory alone establishes stability in wind, on uneven ground or with a heavy attachment. For your intended shot, consider the whole camera, handle, cable and accessory arrangement before letting go.

What Accessories Do Both Kits Include?

For the Pocket 3 / Pocket 4 versions, the shared items should largely cancel out in this decision. Both listings include the NEEWER FL-89 filter kit and one Lexar Professional SILVER PLUS 128GB microSDXC card with an SD adapter.

The listed NEEWER kit contains an ND2–32 filter, a 1/4 Black Diffusion filter, a CPL, two tempered-glass screen protectors, a cleaning cloth and a storage case. Treat these as alternative tools for a shot: daylight exposure control, softer highlight rendering or reflection management. You do not need to install every filter to make the bundle worthwhile.

The two screen protectors are already part of that filter kit; neither Pocket 3/4 offer adds a separate protector pack. The card supplies removable recording storage, not a second camera or an automatic backup. Confirm your camera’s current card requirements and format it in the camera after saving anything you need from it.

Inventory your existing accessories before ordering. If you already have suitable filters and a card, compare the separate carrying item and any missing support. These bundles do not add wireless audio, lighting or extra power. For broader accessory planning, use our Pocket 4P accessory guide and verify every model-specific item.

What If You Own Pocket 4P?

Select the separate Pocket 4P version of Everyday Story, currently C$228.99. Frame & Go is offered here for Pocket 3 and Pocket 4 only. A similar product name does not make its shaped case or included lens accessories suitable for 4P.

Everyday Story / Pocket 4P

C$228.99

A different filter configuration, not just a higher bag price.

What changes in the 4P version?

The soft bag, mini tripod and 128GB card remain in the listed package. The Pocket 3/4 NEEWER kit is replaced with:

  • A dedicated BRDRC Pocket 4P set: CPL, ND8, ND16, ND32 and Black Mist filters.
  • One separately listed Pocket screen protector, rather than the two protectors supplied inside the Pocket 3/4 filter kit.

DJI’s Pocket 4P compatibility FAQ says Pocket 3 lens accessories and its Protective Cover do not fit 4P, and identifies size-specific Pocket 4 carrying items that are incompatible. That is a reason to verify the exact component—not to assume that every bag or every accessory is interchangeable.

The AEROVAULT soft bag is a separate third-party item explicitly listed by SpeedyDrone for 3, 4 and 4P. Its adjustable space does not make the bundled filters universal. Order the camera-matched version, confirm the supplied protector’s cut before applying it, and check your existing mounting handle for tripod use.

What Can Actually Fit Inside Each Case?

A reliable answer needs the exact equipment and a closure check. The current photos establish the bag’s compartments and the case’s shaped layout, but they do not verify that every accessory in either bundle fits together with your camera, attached handle and other gear.

Use the following packing check before relying on either as your only carrying solution. Record the camera model and every attachment left installed. A different handle, filter box or cable can change the result. Some accessories may need to travel separately.

RECOMMENDED CHECKS · RESULTS NOT RECORDED

A

Pack and close

Try the camera, filters and card storage in their intended positions. Check separation and a normal, unforced closure, with no pressure on the gimbal or lens.

Record: fit / separate carry
B

Identify what comes off

Repeat with your actual handle or base. Note which attachments must be removed before the camera can be stored safely.

Record: removal list
C

Account for the support

For Everyday Story, try the folded mini tripod with the camera and remaining accessories. For Frame & Go, check the desktop base too.

Record: support location
D

Rehearse the next shot

Unpack, attach or place the support, check stability and frame a shot. Write down the steps and anything you need to carry separately.

Record: setup steps

A test protocol, not a reported SpeedyDrone result. No closure, capacity or setup-time winner is declared. Keep notes or photographs of the exact configuration you checked.

During a fit check, stop if the zipper or latch needs force. Remove the obstruction and repack; do not use the lid to compress an oversized camera setup. Follow the camera’s shutdown and storage instructions, and keep lens accessories or loose parts from interfering with the gimbal’s stored position.

If you are buying remotely, ask which handle, base and filter box were used in any fit demonstration. An open-case photograph is useful context, but a closed-case view and a clear item list are needed to understand that particular configuration. This is a compatibility question, not a reason to assume either case is too small.

Final Recommendation

For an existing Pocket 3 or Pocket 4 owner, choose around the part of the routine that needs improvement. Everyday Story offers adjustable organisation plus a mini tripod; Frame & Go offers a shaped hard-case layout plus a resting base. The equal C$186.99 price does not remove those practical differences.

You do not need both bundles to make good Pocket videos. Choose one if its carrying layout, support and shared extras solve real gaps in your kit. If the remaining uncertainty is whether your assembled setup fits, settle that detail before buying.
