Which Osmo 360 Accessories Work With Osmo 360 II? Batteries, Mounts, Selfie Sticks & DJI Mic Compatibility
Most of your high-value original Osmo 360 kit can move to Osmo 360 II. DJI currently confirms both generations for the 1950 mAh and 2150 mAh batteries, transparent lens protectors, invisible waterproof case, popular invisible selfie sticks and several mounts. The clearest replacement is the powered extension rod: the original Osmo 360 Battery Extension Rod is Gen 1 only, while the Osmo 360 II Battery Extension Rod is Gen 2 only.
That makes the upgrade less expensive than rebuilding a complete kit, but similar names are a trap. “Osmo,” “Action” or “quick release” on the box does not make every plate, rod or fitted part interchangeable. Use the matrix below to sort your gear into keep, check the adapter or replace.

Keep the Parts DJI Lists for Both Generations
Your 1770 mAh or 1950 mAh Action batteries, transparent lens protectors, invisible waterproof case and common Osmo invisible selfie sticks can reduce the real cost of moving to Osmo 360 II. DJI’s current table also confirms the 2150 mAh battery for both camera generations.
Keep each item only if it is in sound condition. Compatibility does not restore a scratched protector, worn case seal, damaged battery or loose mount.

Powered Rods and Quick-Release Parts Need Exact Names
The original and Gen 2 battery extension rods are separate, generation-specific products. DJI marks the original rod for Osmo 360 only and the new rod for Osmo 360 II only.
Quick-release compatibility is more nuanced. The old Osmo Action Quick-Release Adapter Mount is not listed for Gen 2, while many straps, clamps and mounts can still work when paired with the exact adapter in DJI’s footnote. Check the entire chain from camera to mount.
Do Osmo 360 Batteries Work With Osmo 360 II?
Yes. DJI supports the Osmo Action Extreme Battery (1770 mAh) and Osmo Action Extreme Battery Plus (1950 mAh) in both the original Osmo 360 and Osmo 360 II. If those batteries are healthy, there is no compatibility reason to replace them just because you change camera bodies.
Battery condition still matters. Age, cold, recording mode, screen use and wireless features affect runtime. A compatibility check is not a promise that an older battery will match a new pack’s endurance.
Does the New 2150mAh Osmo 360 II Battery Work With the Original Osmo 360?
Yes, according to DJI’s current Osmo Series Accessory Compatibility List. The Osmo Extreme Battery Plus (2150 mAh) has a check mark under both Osmo 360 II and Osmo 360. This updates earlier store-page wording that showed only the newer camera.
The battery and the battery extension rod are different decisions. The 2150 mAh removable battery crosses generations; the powered extension rods do not. Do not infer rod compatibility from battery compatibility.
Do Osmo 360 Lens Protectors Fit Osmo 360 II?
Yes. DJI’s current compatibility list checks the Osmo 360 Transparent Lens Protectors for both cameras. Existing owners can keep an undamaged set rather than automatically ordering another.
These are protective covers, not underwater housings. DJI warns against using the transparent protectors underwater, and moisture or rapid temperature changes can cause fogging. Inspect for haze and scratches before an important shoot.
Does the Osmo 360 Waterproof Case Fit Osmo 360 II?
Yes. The Osmo 360 Invisible Waterproof Case is also checked for both generations. DJI gives a 50 m depth reference and a 1 m safe stitching-distance note for underwater use. Follow the case instructions, keep the seal clean and dry, and inspect the optical dome before every dive.
Can I Use My Old Invisible Selfie Stick?
Usually yes, when it is one of the exact sticks DJI lists. The 70 cm Invisible Selfie Stick, 1 m High-Strength Carbon Fiber Invisible Selfie Stick, 1.2 m Invisible Selfie Stick Kit, 1.6 m Tripod Selfie Stick and 2.5 m Extended Carbon Fiber Selfie Stick are all listed for both Osmo 360 and Osmo 360 II.
The 1.2 m kit needs the Osmo Adjustable Dual-Direction Quick-Release Adapter Mount on Gen 2. DJI also includes that 1.2 m stick in current Osmo 360 II bundles, correcting older standalone-page information that did not name the new camera.
“Invisible” describes how the stick can disappear in properly stitched 360 footage; it is not a safety rating. The lighter 70 cm stick is intended for handheld use. For vehicle, bike or high-vibration mounting, use hardware designed for that load and add the recommended safety measures.
Mounting logic
Can I Use Osmo Action Quick-Release Mounts?
Many mounting accessories remain useful, but the adapter between the accessory and camera may change. DJI’s table gives separate compatibility rows and footnotes for each mount. For example, several chest, helmet, handlebar, suction-cup and strap mounts work with Osmo 360 II when used with the Osmo Dual-Direction Quick-Release Adapter Mount.
The older Osmo Action Quick-Release Adapter Mount itself is marked incompatible with Osmo 360 II. Treat the supporting mount and the camera-side adapter as separate pieces.
What about 1/4-inch third-party accessories?
A matching 1/4-inch thread can provide physical attachment, including through the appropriate DJI adapter, but it does not certify the complete setup. Check payload, leverage, vibration, screw length, camera clearance and whether the mount enters the stitched image. For water or vehicle use, follow the most restrictive component’s instructions.
Does Osmo 360 II Work With DJI Mic Mini 2S?
Yes. DJI lists direct wireless transmitter support for DJI Mic Mini 2S on Osmo 360 II and the original Osmo 360. You pair the supported transmitter to the camera; the receiver is not required for that documented connection.
The DJI Mic Mini 2S (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case) is a complete SpeedyDrone kit for creators who also want a receiver for phones or cameras. For Osmo 360 II alone, the key compatible part is the transmitter.
Does Osmo 360 II Work With DJI Mic 3?
Yes. DJI Mic 3 transmitters can also connect directly. SpeedyDrone’s DJI Mic 3 (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case) adds a receiver and charging case for a wider audio setup.
DJI also lists Mic 2, Mic Mini 2 and the original Mic Mini transmitters for both cameras. SpeedyDrone currently carries the DJI Mic Mini 2 complete kit. Recheck firmware and pairing instructions before a paid shoot.

What Should a First-Time Osmo 360 II Buyer Add?
Start by confirming Canadian camera availability with SpeedyDrone, then add only the equipment needed for the first real shoot. A sensible travel setup may be the camera, one appropriate invisible selfie stick, a DJI-recommended microSD card and lens protection for dry environments. Add a waterproof case for planned underwater work and a compatible DJI Mic transmitter for spoken content.
Do not order two sticks because their names look similar or buy a receiver solely to connect a supported transmitter to the camera. Choose the simplest complete setup that covers the intended mounting position, recording time, audio and environmental risk.
