More Than a Drone Case: AEROVAULT Storage, Value & Lifetime Limited Warranty

AEROVAULT gives your equipment a dedicated place to travel: hard cases with removable pre-cut foam, or a Pocket soft bag with movable dividers. The useful choice depends on what you carry, how the layout fits and what you pay.

Its Lifetime Limited Warranty adds long-term coverage for defects in case materials and workmanship. It does not insure the drone or camera inside. Here is how to judge the storage, current Canadian prices and warranty together before choosing a case.

Product configurations, Canadian prices and published warranty terms checked 27 October 2026. SpeedyDrone also confirmed the pre-cut foam adjustment guidance on this date. Prices are CAD before applicable tax and shipping; check the selected listing before purchase.

The buying question

Does this case fit the equipment you actually take with you?

A familiar drone name on a listing helps you shortlist a case. Your controller, batteries, attached accessories and other equipment determine whether that shortlist is useful.

In this AEROVAULT buying guide

A place for the complete kit

More Than Just a Drone Case

A dedicated case separates equipment that would otherwise share the bottom of a bag. A controller screen, folded aircraft, spare batteries and small accessories have different shapes. Giving them separate compartments helps keep them organised and reduces direct contact during ordinary carrying.

That organisation matters before you leave as well as when you arrive. You can see whether a compartment is empty, find a cable without unloading everything and return equipment to a consistent place. These are practical reasons to consider a case even when the original shoulder bag still works.

AEROVAULT offers both model-specific layouts and ways to arrange space around your kit. Hard cases start with shaped foam compartments and support removal of pre-cut foam sections. The Pocket-series soft bag uses repositionable dividers. Neither approach makes every case suitable for every device.

Other compact cameras, microphones or valuable accessories may also benefit from separated storage when their dimensions and support needs suit the chosen interior. Treat that as a fit decision. A drone-compatible case is not automatically a verified fit for another camera, and a product photograph cannot establish how your complete kit will pack.

If your existing bag already holds everything securely, opens conveniently and fits the way you travel, another case may add little. The strongest reason to buy is a specific improvement in fit, separation or carrying convenience.

Two different adjustment methods

Make the Space Fit Your Gear

AEROVAULT hard cases support customisation by extracting pre-cut foam. SpeedyDrone confirms that this applies across its AEROVAULT hard-case range, and that removing the intended pre-cut sections as designed does not affect the case warranty. The exact starting compartments and available sections still depend on the insert supplied with the chosen model.

Pre-cut foam works by removing material to create or extend a space. Once a section is removed, that space does not automatically regain its original support. This is different from moving a divider from one position to another. Do not assume a layout can be rebuilt indefinitely or that removed foam will be replaced under warranty.

Movable dividers: arrange, then rearrange

The Pocket 3 / 4 / 4P soft bag lets you reposition its internal dividers to separate a compatible camera and selected accessories. This is useful when the mix of small items changes between outings.

The bag’s 21 × 11 × 11 cm dimensions describe the outside. They do not promise that an item of the same dimensions fits inside, or that every camera, grip and cable can be packed together.

Pre-cut foam: plan before you remove

Make a list of the equipment you want in the case and compare it with the supplied insert before extracting sections. Look for support around each item, space between delicate parts and clearance under the lid. An accessory that is compatible electronically may still be too large for a particular compartment.

For a kit that changes frequently, consider whether you would prefer the flexibility of dividers or a dedicated layout for a stable equipment set. A customised compartment should solve a carrying problem; a larger empty cavity alone does not establish better protection.

01

List the equipment

Include the exact controller, battery count, camera attachments and small accessories you intend to carry.

02

Check the insert

Identify its intended removable sections. Confirm an uncertain fit before changing the layout.

03

Review the support

Check separation and lid clearance after adjustment. Avoid a layout that lets equipment move or presses on delicate parts.

Price is one part of value

What Do You Get for the Price?

The clearest way to assess AEROVAULT value is to connect a real price to the construction and layout you need. These three standalone products show different approaches. They are not equivalent sizes or interchangeable protection systems, so the lowest price alone does not identify the right purchase.

The C$10 difference between the Pocket soft bag and Pocket hard case buys a different form, closure and starting interior. It does not mean every buyer should upgrade. Likewise, the larger Mini 5 Pro / Lito case serves a different equipment set; its C$179 price should be considered against that job.

Compare the details that affect carrying

The Pocket hard case measures 25 × 20.2 × 7.7 cm externally and weighs approximately 415 g empty. Its listing identifies Pocket 3 and Pocket 4; it does not establish Pocket 4P fit. The Mini / Lito case is 33 × 12 × 28 cm externally and approximately 1.3 kg empty, with listed compatibility for Mini 5 Pro, Lito X1 and Lito 1 configurations.

On a phone, scroll within the comparison to read both approaches. Exterior dimensions are not usable interior measurements.

If waterproofing, certified transport performance or a specific load rating is essential, require evidence for that exact requirement before selecting a case.

Read coverage and remedy separately

What Lifetime Limited Warranty Actually Covers

AEROVAULT’s published Lifetime Limited Warranty covers defects in the materials and workmanship of the case. Its specific early remedy is free case replacement during the first six months from purchase when the case is damaged because of a qualifying defect.

Those are two different statements: the warranty has a lifetime limited scope, while the clearly described free-replacement provision applies to the first six months. “Free lifetime replacement for any damage” would overstate the terms.

LifetimeLimited Warranty

Coverage concerns the case itself and qualifying defects. Keep the purchase record with the product details.

Covered defect category
Defects in AEROVAULT case materials and workmanship, subject to the published terms.
First six months
Free case replacement when damage results from such a qualifying defect, measured from the purchase date.
Excluded causes
Misuse, accidents, unauthorised modifications and other human-caused damage identified in the terms.
Stored equipment
The drone, controller, batteries, camera and other contents are not covered by this case warranty.
Claim requirement
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

Does customising the foam affect coverage?

SpeedyDrone confirms that extracting the intended pre-cut foam sections as designed does not affect the case warranty. That guidance does not authorise unrelated changes to the shell, latches or carrying hardware, or extend coverage to accidental damage. Ask about any adjustment that falls outside the intended pre-cut method before making it.

What happens after six months?

The published text retains lifetime limited defect coverage, but does not describe the exact remedy or shipping arrangements for a later claim. Contact SpeedyDrone with the purchase record, case model, date and description of the issue to confirm how the terms apply. Do not assume every later claim results in a free replacement or that all shipping costs are included.

Warranty adds confidence in the case; it does not replace careful equipment handling. A warranty on the shell is not reimbursement protection for an expensive camera or aircraft stored inside it.

Shortlist by equipment, then confirm the fit

Choose Your AEROVAULT Case

Start with the device and control arrangement, then count everything that must travel together. A case for a drone used with a conventional controller may have a different interior from a goggles-oriented case for the same aircraft. The product family name is the beginning of the decision.

For Pocket users, the soft bag explicitly lists Pocket 3, Pocket 4 and Pocket 4P. The C$69 hard-case example lists Pocket 3 and Pocket 4. If you use 4P, an extended handle or another large attachment, confirm the exact configuration instead of relying on a similar-looking compartment.

For other equipment, ask for usable compartment measurements and discuss how the item will be supported. A microphone and a camera lens may both fit through the opening, but they need separation and clearance. Do not size an insert from the outside dimensions of the case.

A fit checklist you can use before ordering

Use the checklist to prepare the equipment list you discuss with SpeedyDrone.

Neo 2: choose the control layout

Standalone choices include a Fly More soft case at C$89 and Motion soft case at C$99. The Fly More hard case is C$179; the Motion hard case is C$199. Confirm the exact goggles and controller fit rather than assuming every compatible controller fits every insert.

Larger aircraft and goggles-oriented kits

The standalone Air 3S, Mavic 4 Pro and Avata 360 hard cases are each listed at C$350. Compare the relevant insert, controller arrangement and external dimensions on the selected page; the shared price does not make their interiors interchangeable.

For a concrete buying enquiry, send the model names, battery count and dimensions of unusual accessories. Include what is already attached to each device. That gives the fit discussion a clear equipment list instead of relying on “will my drone fit?”

Buy the missing function

Case Only or Accessory Bundle?

Buy a standalone case when carrying and organisation are the gap. If your batteries, charging equipment and other accessories already meet your needs, buying them again adds cost without improving the storage decision. A case-only listing also makes it easier to understand what the price covers.

Consider an AEROVAULT accessory bundle when you can identify several useful missing items. Compare its complete inclusion list with your existing equipment and the case-only price. The kit name does not prove that it includes an aircraft, camera, goggles, controller or everything shown in its photographs.

The detailed Neo 2 accessory-kit guide explains the two control-oriented routes. The Pocket soft-bag versus hard-case bundle guide compares the carrying and support accessories. For a Mini or Lito, the existing-owner accessory guide starts with what is missing from your current setup.

A bundle is useful when the additional items solve real problems. A standalone case is a complete purchase when storage is all you need. Neither route is automatically the better value for every owner.

Before You Choose

Can I use an AEROVAULT case for equipment other than a drone?

Potentially, when the usable interior, foam adjustment or dividers support the equipment properly. Confirm dimensions and separation for the exact items. This guide does not verify a particular non-drone camera or microphone packout.

Are AEROVAULT cases waterproof?

No waterproof or IP rating is stated for the products reviewed here. A rigid shell or pressure valve does not establish waterproofing. Do not treat these cases as suitable for submersion or prolonged heavy rain.

Can I keep changing a pre-cut foam layout?

Removing pre-cut sections changes the available foam support. It is not the same as repositioning a divider, and it does not promise unlimited rebuilding or replacement foam. Plan the layout before extraction and confirm the supplied insert if unsure.

Does the case warranty cover the drone or camera inside?

No. The published warranty applies to the AEROVAULT case and excludes the aircraft, camera, controller, batteries and other stored equipment. It should not be read as contents insurance.
