Already Own a DJI Mini 5 Pro or Lito? Here Are the Accessories Worth Adding

Keep the equipment that already works. Add an accessory when you can name the problem it will solve on your next outing.

For DJI Mini 5 Pro and Lito owners, that might be a better way to carry the aircraft, a useful launch surface, another charged battery or more deliberate exposure control. A second case or memory card can also be completely unnecessary.

This guide starts with those gaps, then explains the five versions of the AEROVAULT Ready for Takeoff Case & Accessory Bundle. Every version is accessory-only: no drone or remote controller is included.

You Already Own the Drone. What's Missing?

Unpack the equipment you actually use before opening another product page. Check its condition and fit, rather than counting how many accessories you own. A suitable shoulder bag may already handle your outings; an old card that cannot reliably record your chosen mode may not.

Think about the last session that felt awkward. Was the camera ready but your only battery nearly depleted? Did loose equipment move around during the drive? Were you trying to control shutter speed in bright light? Those are specific reasons to consider an addition.

Already covered in my current kit

Tick an item when your existing equipment meets this need. Keep those items; investigate the gaps that remain. Selections reset when this page reloads.

A bundle makes the strongest case when several useful gaps line up with its contents. If only one item is missing, compare that item separately. If everything is covered, put the existing kit to work.

The Three Accessories Every Bundle Shares

All five Ready for Takeoff versions contain one AEROVAULT hard case, one BRDRC 50cm folding landing pad and one Lexar Professional SILVER PLUS 128GB microSDXC card. The pad includes its storage bag and four ground stakes; the card includes an SD adapter.

01 / TRANSPORT

A hard case earns its space during the journey

Regular car trips, repeated packing and storage with other equipment are good reasons to consider a dedicated case. The useful question is whether its interior suits your drone, controller and battery arrangement.

The included AEROVAULT case is listed for compatible Mini 5 Pro, Lito X1 and Lito 1 configurations. Larger attachments need separate attention: the bundle listing says to remove the Mini 5 Pro guards for case storage, and not every accessory fits inside at once.

Keep a suitable bag if it already does the job and you prefer its carrying size. If the case is your only gap, compare the standalone AEROVAULT case. The case listing does not provide an IP rating.

02 / THE LAUNCH SPOT

A landing pad answers a ground-surface problem

A pad gives you a defined surface when grass or loose ground makes direct placement unsuitable. First assess the location, clearance and conditions, then position and secure the pad appropriately. It cannot make an unsuitable site safe to use.

If you already have a serviceable pad of appropriate size, another one adds little. The same is true if your normal locations already provide suitable launch surfaces.

03 / RECORDING

A card should fit the camera and your offload routine

DJI’s current recommended-card list includes the Lexar SILVER PLUS 128GB model for Mini 5 Pro and the Lito series. Check the exact model, available space and recording mode before a shoot.

Capacity is not a promised recording duration, and an additional card is not a backup of footage that remains elsewhere. Keep a suitable card if it already covers your needs; use the Mini 5 Pro storage and transfer guide for a deeper offload plan.

Mini 5 Pro: Battery and Propeller Protection

The two Mini 5 Pro versions add one Standard DJI Mini 5 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery and one Quick-Release 360° Propeller Guard set with integrated propellers. These additions are not supplied in the Lito versions.

Plan spare batteries around separate flights

A spare pack is useful when you regularly finish one flight and want another before a recharge is practical. It gives you another battery to rotate after landing; it does not extend the battery already installed in the aircraft.

Count the packs you already own. A Fly More owner may have sufficient rotation, while an occasional pilot may still be well served by one. No charging hub or wall charger is listed in Ready for Takeoff. For recharge equipment and battery-type decisions, read the Mini 5 Pro charging guide.

Guards are a specific configuration choice

Consider the guard set only when its protection role suits the intended operation. It is an integrated-propeller assembly: follow DJI’s installation procedure, including removing the aircraft’s original propellers and checking the clips.

DJI requires firmware v01.00.0400 or later, prohibits use in windy environments and says the guards affect propulsion, video transmission and obstacle sensing. Review the official guard guide for its operating limits. Guards do not replace pilot judgement or make a location appropriate to fly.

Lito X1: When Are ND Filters Useful?

The Lito X1 versions add the NEEWER FL-N34 ND8 / ND16 / ND32 / ND64 set, with a filter case and cleaning cloth. NEEWER’s current manufacturer page explicitly lists DJI Flip and Lito X1 compatibility, matching SpeedyDrone’s confirmed-fit bundle description. This is not a filter selection for Mini 5 Pro or Lito 1.

ND filters reduce the light entering the lens. They are useful when you deliberately choose an exposure setting and bright conditions would otherwise make the image too bright. For video, that may mean retaining a slower chosen shutter speed for the motion rendering you want.

ND164 stops¹⁄₁₆light transmitted
ND325 stops¹⁄₃₂light transmitted
ND646 stops¹⁄₆₄light transmitted
Optical reduction reference, not a before-and-after flight test. A higher number blocks more light; it does not automatically make a better image.

For a 30fps clip, 1/60s can be a creative starting point rather than a requirement. If the chosen ISO and shutter speed overexpose the scene, select a suitable ND, then check the result before recording the sequence. Reassess as the light changes.

Skip the purchase if you already have a compatible set or your current work does not need that exposure control. A filter is not a universal sharpness upgrade. There is no dependable rule that one ND strength suits every cloudy day or every midday scene.

RC-N3 vs RC 2: Does Your Controller Change the Kit?

Here, the controller name identifies accessories for the remote you already own. It does not mean a remote is included or that the bundle changes how the aircraft is controlled.

The Mini 5 Pro and Lito X1 RC 2 versions add a DJI RC 2 screen protector and BRDRC sun hood / screen and joystick protector. Their RC-N3 versions omit those RC 2 display accessories. The current Lito 1 selection is RC-N3 only.

Separate visibility from screen care

A sun hood is worth considering if direct light regularly makes the display difficult to read. Check the shade it provides while keeping controls, antennas and your view of the aircraft clear.

A screen protector addresses surface contact during handling and storage. If your RC 2 already has a suitable protector, that line item may be a duplicate. The hood and protector solve different problems; you do not need both merely because you own RC 2.

For RC-N3 users, assess the phone and its existing arrangement instead. An RC 2 hood is not a phone-screen accessory.

Choose the version that matches your actual setup, then judge the extras. A controller-labelled variant is a contents choice in this listing, not a reason to replace a working controller.

When You Shouldn't Buy Another Bundle

The most useful upgrade may be a single missing item—or no purchase. These are hypothetical ownership checks, not customer test reports.

Lito 1: the shared essentials are already covered

If you already own a suitable hard case, landing pad and recording card, the Lito 1 version adds no model-specific battery or filter. Buying the same three types of equipment again may solve nothing. Keep the current kit unless condition, capacity or fit has become a problem.

Mini 5 Pro: batteries are not the gap

If your existing charged packs cover your normal day and you have no use for the guarded configuration, do not treat another battery-and-guard set as an automatic upgrade. If transport is the only problem, compare a case on its own.

Lito X1 / RC 2: judge the whole selection

An owner who already has filters, storage and screen protection may only need a carrying solution or better shade. Work out which pieces would actually be used before buying a package containing them all.

Do not assume a bundle guarantees a saving against separate purchases. The five prices below show the cost of the selected configuration; this guide does not claim an independently verified component-basket discount.

Before ordering, write one sentence: “I own this aircraft and controller; I need these accessories; these other items are already covered.” Then compare it with the chosen version’s included list. Check the version rather than counting everything shown across a shared product gallery.

If your original Lito purchase list needs checking first, our Lito X1 combo guide explains the aircraft packages. This accessory guide is the next step once the aircraft decision is already settled.
